Weekly Devotional

When Jesus taught in parables, it was never meant for people to understand just one principle or teaching, a parable is different from a “lesson” because the gift of the teaching is always changing and engaging in new and wonderful ways. Here is what Anthony de Mello says about: MEANING
Said a traveler to one of the disciples, “I have traveled a great distance to listen to the Master, but I find his words quite ordinary.”
“Don’t listen to his words. Listen to his message.”
“How does one do that?”
“Take hold of a sentence that he says. Shake it well till all the words drop off. What is left will set you heart on fire.”

(From One Minute Wisdom, by Anthony de Mello)

See you in church,
Pastor Tim
