The Montessori Way to Help People With Dementia

Group Activities and Montessori Principles

Virtually every facility that I visit has group activities on the schedule for residents. From bowling to bingo to bake groups, these activities can be fun and meaningful for residents. They are a great way to engage a number of residents at the same time and provide them with social interaction.

Having a Fund-Raising Event?

We can help.

If you are having a fall fair, garden party, Christmas craft sale or some other event, we're happy to come and set up a small table displaying Yard Sale some of our Montessori activities. We can show the visitors the types of activities that your residents are doing, and how fun and engaging they are. We can help them understand the benefits the residents get by doing these activities.

Nova Scotia Alzheimer Society
Annual Conference

Donna will be participating in a panel discussion titled "Engaging in Meaningful Activities" which should prove to be very interesting and informative. We will also have some of our activities on display in the exhibit area. If you can't attend the whole conference, attendance is free the evening of November 3. We hope to see you there.
