Spring at Clitterhouse Farm!

Join us at the farm on Saturday 1st April 2017
We are holding a small event at Clitterhouse Farm on Saturday 1st April (9.30am - 1pm) to celebrate the arrival of spring!

We will be joined by some of the Hammersmith Academy school gardening team who will have a small plant sale and display. Come along and find out how you can make your garden or balcony look great this spring and summer and buy oriental poppies, strawberries, wallflowers, lavender, foxgloves, herbs and other plants.

We will also be joined by the lovely folk from the Hendon and District Archaeological Society (HADAS) who have been researching the rich history of Clitterhouse Farm. HADAS have conducted two archaeological digs at the farm and they will be on hand to discuss some of their fascinating findings so far.

We will also be selling hot and cold drinks and homemade cake at our farmhouse café. So come along and get to know your local community. We hope lots of our new neighbours from Claremont Village will join us too!
Good News! £5k grant from Timberland My Playgreen Award

The Clitterhouse Farm Project have won a £5,000 grant from Timberland's My Playgreen award to develop a community garden. As many of you know, we have been working to turn a small piece of disused land along the southern edge of the farm into a community garden. The land has been very unloved for many years. We've cleared out a huge amount of rubbish and cut back the overgrowth so it's looking a lot better - but there's still more to do. We're eager to get working on transforming the space into a valuable working garden and this grant will help us to do that.

We have some design ideas for what we'd like to do in the space, but we'd love to hear what ideas you have too. We also want to form a committed gardening team to oversee the work and to help maintain the space throughout the year. If you're interested, please come along on Saturday 1st April and check
out the space and let us know what you'd like to see there. We'll also be taking down names of people who are interested in being part of the gardening team.

The Challenge at Clitterhouse Farm | July 2017!
Clitterhouse Farm will be hosting a team from The Challenge this July. The Challenge is organised by The National Citizenship Service - which is a programme for young people (15-17 yrs old) designed to help them challenge themselves, develop their skills and get more involved in their local community. As part of the programme, teams of young people design and deliver a youth-led 'social action project' tackling some of the issues in their local community. A team will be partnered with the Clitterhouse Farm project and will complete a 5 hour day of volunteering, followed by a day of campaigning.
