Message from the WBII board

June is turning out to be a very busy month with new organisations and collaborations to keep us busy as we move towards summer.

An important collaboration we want to highlight is our partnership with Rise and Lead Women and the Rise and Lead Summit. Taking place on 19-20 September 2019, this second summit will provide a platform for women in leadership and companies who are actively advancing women’s roles in their respective organisations.

The Rise and Lead Summit 2019 is about building dynamic and inclusive economies, where everyone is given an equal opportunity to create wealth for themselves, their families, and the society they are part of. The Summit is about global communities reaching their highest potential and building a sustainable future, for ALL.

WBII members can make use of a 10% Early Bird discount on the ticket price. This opportunity is on offer until 30 June and tickets are running out fast! See the post on the WBII FB group.

In the context of our link to The Hague International Centre, we'd like to let you know about this housing survey for internationals that the Municipality of The Hague has launched with the Municipal Housing Department.

The Municipality recognises that it is getting more difficult to find a home in The Hague region and wants to find out how internationals view the housing market. It hopes that the survey will enable it to identify bottlenecks, housing shortages and developments in the international community. The results will influence policy making and contribute to improvements in housing in the region.

Participate in the survey.

Another international organisation that WBII members may be interested in is English Speaking Network Netherlands.

This business/social network enables businesses to increase their exposure to other like-minded businesses, gain exclusive knowledge ingredients to put into their own business and enhances networking skills to ensure more business success.

And at the bottom of this newsletter you will, as ever, find a list of upcoming networking events in the area. So plenty to keep us busy and some great opportunities for WBII members to expand their networks, get involved in the local community and broaden their knowledge.

We hope you enjoy this WISE!

This month's TopTip is from Karine-Kayitesi Ponting:

For all of you right-brain entrepreneurs struggling to have a clear plan for your business or for this new project you have in mind, I highly recommend this book: 'The Right Brain Business Plan' by Jennifer Lee, it is a fun, informal and creative way to get clear on where you are, where you are heading and what you need to get there.

Good luck with it!
