Following the inaugural NZAL Leadership Training programme held in Auckland, NZAL and the Superdiversity Centre are pleased to announce the NZAL Diverse Leadership Training to be held in Wellington on 19 - 20 September, 2016 for all diverse leaders - "From Good to Great: Becoming a Top Global Leader".

This bespoke training programme for a day and half will include topics 
targeted to Superdiverse leaders - Asian, Maori and Pasifika.

Speakers to date include:
Participants will range from top-level executives, managers, individuals in a leadership position who want to move to the next level, managers expecting to take on leadership roles, and those NZAL members who are not in management positions but are expected to lead and influence others in the course of their work.

Tony Falkenstein ONZM

Tony Falkenstein is the CEO and major shareholder of publically-listed Just Water International Ltd and a director and shareholder of PureSEO Ltd.
He is a member of the AUT Business School Advisory Board, and has been prominent in business education, establishing New Zealand’s first Business High School in 2003, as a precursor to ‘business’ becoming a subject in the New Zealand Curriculum.

Congratulations Daniel Wong!
NZAL Emerging Leader and Co-founder/Director of Flacks & Wong Limited, Daniel Wong has been appointed to the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra Board, Arts, Culture and Heritage.
Daniel is an accomplished violinist and played with the Wellington Youth Orchestra for six years. He looks to bring significant experience in governance and law to the NZSO, as stated in media statement issued by Hon Maggie Barry.

NZAL Established member and Managing Director, Glacier Investment, Donald Sew Hoy is the latest to join the SuperSenior Champions as an advocate and role model
Conveying his delight and surprise, Donald said, "I am very honoured and privileged to be appointed by Minister  Maggie Barry as a  “SuperSenior Champion “. I would like to encourage Senior Chinese and Asians to continue their enjoyment in life and satisfy their passion to contribute to community and business. It is a well-known fact that experience and wisdom from the senior generation can add strength and encouragement to New Zealanders, and to many young people in all walks of life."

has taken on the position of Senior Communications Advisor at the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners. Previously, he was Senior Advisor at NZ Customs Service responsible for online and digital communications.

has moved to a new role within the States Services Commission. Georgina was the Advisor for the Leadership and Talent Hub and now assumes a new role of Senior Advisor (Acting), State Services Commission.
