Celebrate MSC Benefit Auction
MSC encourages all families to try to solicit at least two items to be included in the Auction – this can range from unique experiences like sports and theater tickets, to kids’ classes, camps and birthday parties, to gift certificates from local restaurants, stores, salons, etc. Think about friends/family/connections you have who may be willing to donate to our wonderful school (and keep in mind that all donations are tax deductible). Please find donation forms at http://ps333.org/celebrate
LOST & FOUND
If families looked through the lost and found this morning and saw that it was empty, we still have the items in our building. The items will not be donated until Monday. Please understand that there were just too many items and we have to remove them from the main office. If you would like to search through the lost and found bag, please see Loraine in the main office.
Thank you so much!

Dear MSC Families,
Hi! Our first grade students can't seem to get enough of the Elephant and Piggie characters that they've been meeting in books by Mo Willems. If you have any of these books tucked away that you are no longer using, and you would like to donate them to some very appreciative first graders, please bring them by Laurel's classroom, Room 412.
Thanks so much!
Gerri, Rachel, Lindsey, Erica and Laurel
Dear MSC Community and MSC Community Cares,
One again, thank you for your participation and generous response during the Syrian Refugee Supply Drive. Something as simple as a bar of soap, diapers or toothpaste may seem so minor but collectively it has made such an impact in helping to supply the pantry to the WAFA House, which serves new arrivals directly.
The second grassroots organization that I am involved with is One World, One Love. This is the group who houses and supplies the needs of new arrivals. Thank You for all the household items and clothing. In addition to all your acts of kindness, the MSC Caring Community sponsored a card-making event in which children created small gift packages with personalized cards. In Claire Wasserman’s words:
“We had a nice turnout for our card making event. We created some small gift packages with personalized cards. We also discussed the country of Syria and the refugee experience in a tangible and family friendly way. We shared ideas of how to be thoughtful to newcomers. We hope this awareness continues to grow in our community.”
Sally, the group founder of One World, One Love will make sure that the children who are arriving will receive a personalized card and gift made by the children.
Lastly, thank you for your open hearts.

MSC Movie Night
Movie night is just around the corner Friday night March 10th. This year we are asking to hear from the kids. In your kids mailboxes you will find a flier that doubles as a ballot. All they need to do to vote is circle the movie on that flier and put it in one of the many Manila envelope taped near the classroom. There is one near every classroom. The movie with the most votes is the movie we will show. We want these votes in by Febraury 3.
Thanks and see you on movie night.
MSC Parent Band Seeking Musical Parents
We're getting an MSC Parent Band together to perform at the MSC Auction on March 18th, 2017. The idea is to bring a group of musically inclined parents together to have fun, make new friends, and help make the auction even more memorable. If you are interested in jamming or helping to produce, organize, or setup, please contact Tony Cheng: firstname.lastname@example.org
The fourth grade will be starting a project soon that requires water bottles. Poland spring 1 liter and 1.5 are the best, but we will accept any brand, any size.
We know that disposable water bottles go against everything we promote, but if you have any at home, or if you see any in your recycling area, please bring them to the greenhouse. I'll be collecting until after Feb break.
Thank you in advance,
