Is your child interested in helping to make our school for eco friendly? Does your child love to make small projects that promote sustainability? Would your gardener enjoy some extra time helping our greenhouse plants? Sign your 2-6 grade student up for an after school Green Team on Wednesdays from 3:00-4:30 in January and February. Pickup in the greenhouse.
>>> Students should demonstrate a passion for learning about and caring for our planet and our school. Participants will need to collaborate on projects to improve recycling, terracycling, and energy use at MSC.
On Sunday December 11th, kids from all over New York will be marching and speaking out for the values, ideals and rights that unite us all -- kindness, fairness and equity.
Kids will be able to speak up about their feelings, their fears, and their hopes for the future. We encourage homemade signs and welcome messages that speak up for kindness or speak out against hate, that nurture respect and love for one another no matter our differences or similarities.
This gathering is for all kids and families, their caregivers and friends.
The march will begin at the Central Park Children’s Gate at East 64th Street & 5th Avenue at 12:30pm. We will march together to the Bandshell in Central Park, with a speak out starting at 1pm.
Please join us! Share this message with your school, family members, friends, neighbors, faith communities, community centers, and colleagues.
This is being organized by a loose group of individual parents (several of them MSC parents). Contact us at email@example.com
Coat Drive PS 333
I’m organizing our Coat Drive for the 28th New York Cares Annual Coat Drive until December 16th! I’ll be setting up collection boxes inside the lobby. Please bring warm winter coats to donate to a New Yorker in need. I know we can clean out our closets and unearth a few unused coats. This is also a great opportunity for us to talk to our families about caring for those who are in need around us! Thanks in advance for your generosity and support.

Don't have coats to donate?
Text COAT to 41444. Just $20 buys a coat for a New Yorker in need.
Need an excuse to get your friends together this holiday season?
This is a great opportunity to empty those closets of unneeded shoes (and also all those shoes your child has outgrown). Please drop off your gently worn shoes in the marked bin outside the green house and you’ll be helping MSC to raise needed funds while diverting waste! For more info visit https://www.smore.com/0hqs4-we-want-your-shoes. Also if you have questions, contact Peter Zinn at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Photo Day Photos Are Available Online!
As we gear up for gift giving, consider a framed school photo! A classic choice! Order before December 16th and JDZ Photography will get your order to you in time for framing! As always, the sooner you order the better!
Shakira is making applesauce during the month of December and she needs your old 🍎 apples!
You can drop off apples to the greenhouse any day, any time. Thanks in advance!
Also, in the interests of going waste free, we are trying to collect a class set of metal spoons and forks. If you have any old mismatched spoons or forks that you would like to get rid of, please bring them to the greenhouse
