Did you ever wish that you could have been a friend of J.S. Bach? Here's your opportunity!

For more than twenty years, CONCORA's Friends of Bach — people like you who love Bach's music — have supported CONCORA’s performances of the choral music of Johann Sebastian Bach by raising funds to underwrite the ensemble's annual Bach concert in Hartford, and by enhancing and informing our understanding of Bach and his music.
The Friends of Bach welcomes new members at any time—including you. We are hoping to welcome many new Friends of Bach by March 14. Will you join us?

Through a series of concerts, fundraising events, and memberships, the Friends of Bach committee raises funds to provide substantial support for the annual Bach concert performed by CONCORA, soloists, and orchestra.

When you join the Friends of Bach by March 14, 2018, you will be invited to a private reception following the concert on March 25, where you may visit with CONCORA's Artistic Director Chris Shepard and the musicians who will have just presented Bach's monumental Saint Matthew Passion. Your name will be included in the Friends of Bach acknowledgements in the CONCORA program book for the remainder of this concert season, and you'll receive first notice of Friends of Bach events next season.
Click HERE or on the black button below to complete your membership online at CONCORA’s secure donation site. You may also send a check made out to CONCORA to the CONCORA office at 233 Pearl Street, Hartford, CT, 06103. Please mark Friends of Bach or FOB on the memo line. An annual membership in the Friends of Bach is $100 for individuals and $150 for couples or families. Annual membership in the Friends of Bach is concurrent with CONCORA's concert season (July through June).
To be included in the invitation to the private post-concert reception, and to ensure that your name is included in the March 25 concert program, be sure that your renewal is completed online or received in the CONCORA office by March 14.

Saint Matthew Passion

Immanuel Congregational Church
10 Woodland Street
 Hartford CT
Stunning... intoxicating... enthralling... beguiling... soaring!”

That's how the Worcester Telegram described CONCORA's recent performance of Bach cantatas in Worcester. You can be stunned, intoxicated, enthralled, and beguiled closer to home on March 25, when CONCORA presents Bach's masterpiece, the Saint Matthew Passion, in Hartford.

The Saint Matthew Passion is one of two surviving settings by Bach of the Easter Passion story. (The other setting, the Saint John Passion, was presented by CONCORA in 2016.) Calling for three choirs, soloists, and orchestra, the Saint Matthew Passion offers some of Bach’s grandest music, while exploring in the most intimate terms the very nature of the human spirit.

Please join us on March 25 in the lovely, luminous sanctuary of Immanuel Congregational Church in Hartford when Artistic Director Chris Shepard leads CONCORA, vocal soloists, and members of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra Bach's Saint Matthew Passion
the music that Bach considered his finest work.
