The first workshops of 2015 came to an end last weekend, where a very talented group of women created a fine array of felt vessels. This workshop proved to be so popular, that I will be running it again in June.
The feedback from the workshops was very positive....here is what Karen Lowiss (pictured below wearing the cowl and holding the pot she made over 2 days feltmaking with me) had to say:
Had a fantastic weekend felting with Heather Potten! First day was a 1-2-1 working on cowls and second day was one of Heather's regular workshops. Learned loads in both classes and had a great time!
I advise anyone interested in felting to go on one of Heather's workshops, even if like me you live some way away. It's well worth the effort. Heather will not only teach you how to make beautiful felted items but she will also show you how to finish them to a professional standard. Her classes are a mixture of demonstration and hands-on and as attendees numbers are kept low you get plenty of individual attention. If you have something in particular you want to work on, Heather is happy to offer 1-2-1 or will do her best to address it in the workshop.
Thank you so much Heather. I really enjoyed everything I did and can't wait to try out my new skills at home.
The new programme of workshops for the rest of 2015 is listed below. Spaces are limited to 6 pre workshop, so early booking is advisable.
If the dates listed do not suit you, please get in touch. I am always happy to slot in other workshops whenever possible.
As always, full details of all workshops can be found on my website. There will also be a workshop scheduled for November....based on a masterclass on Bagmaking with Judit Pocs that I am attending at the Dutch Felt Academy next month.
I am now having a little break for the Easter holidays....back into the studio on April 21.
