The vision of the municipality Šentrupert on energy self-sufficiency brought them label 100% RES community
Since its establishment in 2007, Municipality Šentrupert has been actively investing in the energy supply. During the international congress forum “Yes, we can! Regions in Germany, Europe and the world show 100% RE is reality today”, Šentrupert was the first Slovenian municipality to be awarded the European 100 % RES Communities label on the 11th of November 2014.
It should soon be followed by many, as the Slovenian State has committed towards 100% renewables !
Maiolati Spontini and the good management of the territory and its resources
The fourth award for Italian Renewable Municipalities 2014 went to the Municipality of Maiolati Spontini (AN – Ancona), a truly excellent and concrete example of which and how many can be the advantages of good management of the territory.
In Maiolati Spontini, the economic revenue from the landfill and the sale of the electrical power has funded intermunicipal services such as the infrastructure to deliver methane, recreational facilities (an intermunicipal pool) and associated services. But also brought additional benefits !

Province of Luxembourg (Belgium): a method for 100% RES vision implementation
Supported by the University of Liège and its agency for economic development IDELUX, the Province of Luxembourg (Belgium) launches the PEPS-Lux dynamic (Province to Positive Energies) to coordinate the energy transition of its territory through a « 100% renewables » vision.
