Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation

A 6-Week Course

First Tuesday of each month                                                    Beginning October 1, 2019
5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

The 2,600 year old practice of Mindfulness meditation offers many benefits for our modern lives. These benefits include feeling more calm, as well as being more self aware and resilient. Mindfulness teaches us to live in the present moment with openness, curiosity, and kindness. Doing this, we can learn to step back from the pressures of our lives and ultimately experience a greater sense of well being and happiness. These monthly drop-in classes will provide an opportunity to focus on meditation, classroom activities to learn simple practical tools for everyday life and supplemental recommendations to enhance ongoing learning. This is a perfect class for people who feel they can't meditate, have never tried meditation before or for those who could use a refresher.

Please contact Michelle if you have any questions at michellemcclatchie@protonmail.com or 928/793-1007.
There is NO FEE for this course. These teachings have been sustained by the 2,600 year old tradition of dana, a Pali word meaning "generosity.” The teacher receives no compensation for her services. Participants are invited to help support FIMC and the teacher in a way they feel they can afford through donations. In the act of giving, we develop our ability to let go, cultivate a spirit of caring, and honor our inter-connectedness.
