Touching Freedom

A 2-day Insight Meditation Retreat

August 6th and 7th, 2016
Saturday, Sunday
Flagstaff, AZ

The Buddha centered his teachings around touching freedom in a way that transforms our hearts and minds. This retreat is designed to explore a freedom and peace that is found beyond life's conditions through the practice of continuous mindfulness meditation in silence throughout the day—in sitting and walking meditation. There will also be time for discussion to support this process happening in the silence. This retreat is designed for both beginners and experienced practitioners. The retreat will be co-taught by Brian Lesage and Cathy Small.

There is NO FEE for this retreat. The teachings of the Buddha have been sustained by the 2,500 year old tradition of dana, a Pali word meaning "generosity.” Our teachers receive no compensation for their service. Retreatants are encouraged to help the teachers lead a life devoted to teaching the dharma by offering donations at the retreat's end. In the act of giving, we develop our ability to let go, cultivate a spirit of caring, and honor our inter-connectedness.

Registration is Required:

A lottery will be used to select retreatants. The lottery will occur 2 weeks prior to the retreat. Those not selected can be placed on the Waiting List. If an applicant is not selected in the lottery after applying for a retreat, the probability of getting accepted increases with each subsequent retreat they apply for.

The lottery will take place on July 23rd. Any applications received after that will be admitted as room permits.
