To acknowledge the achievements and inspire the R&I community of the logistics sector, ALICE launched the first Innovation Award in April this year. The first award has been focused on successful implementation cases stemming from R& I projects in logistics coordination and collaboration. We invite you to join the online event when the winners will be announced. At the ceremony we will launch a cloud report presenting main outcomes and implementation cases derived from the R&I projects as potential implementation paths on logistics collaboration and coordination

AEGIS-MOSES-ALICE Webinar on Moving Freight by Water: Sustainable Infrastructure & Innovative Vessels - Standardised Cargo Units

In line with the Transport White Paper, 30% of road freight over 300 km should shift to rail or waterborne transport by 2030, and more than 50 % by 2050. Smaller ships with more automation and autonomy in waterborne transport is a promising solution for improving the competitive edge of waterborne logistics as compared to road transport. Increased cargo unit standardisation may be a key element in enabling more efficient and more cost-effective autonomous cargo operations. This webinar will highlight some possibilities and challenges in cargo unit standardization.
