IHE-Europe NEWS Pulse
Dear Members and Friends,

The time has arrived for Mobile Health, as demonstrated by the 9 vendors testing the Mobile Health Document (MHD) IHE Profile at the recent North American ConnectathonThis new MHD Profile will be issued for Trial Implementation following the ITI Domain meeting in Paris end of February.
IHE now offers 3 Profiles on Mobile Health  for testing at the IHE-Europe 2015 Connectathon:

  • Patient Demographics Query for Mobile (PDQm)
  • Mobile Access to Healthcare Documents (MHD), nicknamed XDS on FHIR
  • Internet User Authorization (IUA)

These are the first Profiles based on the emerging HL7 FHIR Restful API standards. Participating vendors to the Luxembourg Connectathon are encouraged to add these mobile health capabilities to their planned IHE Profile testing. Please contact our technical manager.

Eric Poiseau, Technical Manager for the 2015 Connectathon, said “This is one of most important developments in IHE Profiles in recent years with Mobile Health high on global agendas for healthcare authorities, standards bodies, users and vendors alike. We are expecting a considerable uptake on these Profiles from many vendors in Luxembourg and I urge everyone  to consider adding these Profiles to their activity".

VIP Tours are offered to visitors during the Connectathon to engage with these breakthroughs first hand.

IHE also encourages you to also participate in Med-e-Tel Conference (held the last three days of the Connectathon, April 22-24). It is a well-established conference and exhibition in Telemedicine and eHealth which will feature in the next News Pulse.

We look forward to seeing you in Luxembourg
on 20-24
 April 2015.

Sincerely
IHE-Europe Team
