IHE-Europe NEWS Pulse
Dear Members and Friends,

It is hard to believe but it is barely 2 months until the IHE-Europe Connectathon opens in Bochum on 11 April 2016. The clock is also ticking for vendors and users to gather in the RuhrCongress Bochum for the European IHE Symposium.

The 2016 European IHE Symposium on 12 April focuses on Changing the Landscape with Interoperability. The keynote presentation will be delivered by Brigitte Zypries – Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. She will speak on Digitisation – Potentials for the Healthcare Industry. This is sure to attract a packed audience, building on the successful 2015 Symposium, where  Luxembourg Prime Minister - Xavier Bettel and Health Minister - Lydia Mutsch delivered keynote papers.

Other highlights of the 2016 European IHE Symposium programme include:
  • Speakers from the European Commission, IHE-Europe and IHE National Initiatives in Luxembourg, Netherlands, Finland and Italy.
  • Roundtable and panel discussions on new IHE profiles and adoption.
  • Chance to hear from the first companies having completed Conformity Assessment.
  • VIP tours to the Connectathon floor.
Registration numbers of both vendor systems attendees at the European Connectathon 2016 are already ahead of 2015 numbers. Eric Poiseau, IHE-Europe Technical Manager, is confident that 2016 will be a stellar year with new Profiles, new Domains and an increasing focus on both eHealth and mHealth solutions.
