Previous Connectathon attendees will be aware of the benefits that Connectathon attendance can bring and the importance attached by governments and healthcare providers to recent successful Connectathon participation as a pre-requisite for tender progression:

• Establish vendor competency in eHealth and mHealth interoperability.
• Successful vendors registered in the Connectathon Results Matrix.
• Buyers use the IHE Product Registry to identify vendors whose products support IHE Profiles; this is even more important following the European Commission’s endorsement of 27 IHE Profiles being eligible for referencing in public procurements as technical specifications.

The Bochum Connectathon will also welcome the EFA Projectathon for Germany-wide hospital patient folder in collaboration with HL7 Germany.

An innovative testing session will also allow Connectathon participants to test the 9 emerging IHE Profiles that are based on the HL7 FHIR® DSTU2.

All are invited to Bochum to join the VIP tours of the Connectathon floor and participate in a comprehensive parallel programme of regional, national and international events focussing on policies and deployment initiatives for eHealth and mHealth interoperability.
