During the upcoming 2016 IHE-Europe Connectathon in Bochum, Germany on
11-15 April there will be a strong parallel conference programme; the highlight of which will see the European IHE Symposium, at the RuhrCongress, Bochum.
It will focus on Changing the Landscape with Interoperability.

This key symposium is organised by IHE-Europe, in conjunction with IHE-Germany and the ZTG GmbH. It begins at 9.00 AM. We are delighted to have a number of speakers from the European Commission and to announce that Brigitte Zypries – Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy will give her perspective on eHealth and interoperability.

Key details of the IHE Symposium feature a strong international presence with some real hot topics including:
  • Changing the European interoperability landscape; Semantic interoperability – What’s new?
  • New developments in IHE? – Quality and conformity assessment in eHealth.
  • Interoperability in mobile applications – mHealth - and IHE Profiles.
  • National and regional updates from European countries.
  • Refined eHealth European interoperability framework; Identified IHE Profiles and procurement.
  • Panel discussions - throughout the sessions.
  • Industry and user round table discussion featuring use cases and procurement.
  • The IHE Symposium will include a guided visit to the Connectathon floor and the chance to see the world-famous Connectathon in action - first hand.
