IHE-Europe NEWS Pulse
Dear Members and Friends,
It seems to have been a long time coming but at early-March we are barely four weeks away from the start of the IHE-Europe Connectathon, in glamorous Venice, 3-7 April 2017.
As previously promised Venice will provide a comprehensive supporting parallel programme of national and international events focusing on deployment initiatives for eHealth and mHealth interoperability.
The main IHE Symposium, jointly organised by IHE-Europe and Arsenàl.IT - 
Research  Centre for eHealth Innovation - take place on Tuesday April 4 in the fabulous Maritime Port of Venice that also hosts the 2017 Connectathon.
The theme – Interoperability in eHealth Marches Ahead – will feature two main sessions, starting at 9.00 with registration.
10.00 - first session - European eHealth strategy and deployment of interoperability in eHealth services will feature presentations on:
  • eHealth European actions on cross-border interoperability.
  • Examples of cross-border eHealth services deployment in Europe.
  • Panel Discussion.
11.30 - second session - Practical Approaches to Interoperability Rigor through Conformity Assessment
  • IHE Conformity Assessment.
  • Examples of good practice from Switzerland and the Veneto Region.
  • Panel Discussion.
The day will continue with afternoon VIP tours of the Connectathon floor, focusing on a number of IHE Domains:
  • Radiology and Laboratory.
  • Hospital Infrastructure.
  • Regional or National Systems.
  • mHealth.
The day will conclude with a networking session led by Claudio Saccavini and the team from Arsenàl.IT.
