Dear Members and Friends,
It seems to have been a long time coming but at early-March we are barely four weeks away from the start of the IHE-Europe Connectathon, in glamorous Venice, 3-7 April 2017.
As previously promised Venice will provide a comprehensive supporting parallel programme of national and international events focusing on deployment initiatives for eHealth and mHealth interoperability.
The main IHE Symposium, jointly organised by IHE-Europe and Arsenàl.IT - Veneto
Research Centre for eHealth Innovation - take place on Tuesday April 4 in the fabulous Maritime Port of Venice that also hosts the 2017 Connectathon. The theme – Interoperability in eHealth Marches Ahead – will feature two main sessions, starting at 9.00 with registration. 10.00 - first session - European eHealth strategy and deployment of interoperability in eHealth services will feature presentations on:
eHealth European actions on cross-border interoperability.
Examples of cross-border eHealth services deployment in Europe.
Panel Discussion.
11.30 - second session - Practical Approaches to Interoperability Rigor through Conformity Assessment
IHE Conformity Assessment.
Examples of good practice from Switzerland and the Veneto Region.
Panel Discussion.
The day will continue with afternoon VIP tours of the Connectathon floor, focusing on a number of IHE Domains:
Radiology and Laboratory.
Hospital Infrastructure.
Regional or National Systems.
mHealth.
The day will conclude with a networking session led by Claudio Saccavini and the team from Arsenàl.IT.
