IHE-Europe NEWS Pulse
Dear Members and Friends,

IHE-Europe is delighted to announce the publication of test reports for a first set of products under the IHE International Conformity Assessment Program.

Whether you are a vendor, purchaser or user of products that implement IHE Profiles there is a now a formal way to state and recognise compliance. Administered under the IHE International Scheme, IHE Conformity Assessment relies on ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing laboratories to provide conformance testing resulting in formal test reports.

IHE Conformity Assessment complements the IHE-Europe Connectathon as the next step in the quality chain that ensures compliance for commercial products. Summary reports on tested products are publicly
available. It goes further than the practical interoperability testing of a Connectathon through enhanced testing rigour; this provides greater assurance of a consistent uniform adherence to specifications.

Users benefit from:

  • A successful test report that is robust proof of compliance.
  • Reduced testing time and cost by allowing the buyer and procurement authorities to focus on the project specifics.

Vendors benefit from:

  • Proven independent testing of the interoperability of their products and solutions that can be fully referenced in sales presentations and marketing materials.
  • Test once and implement in many projects with a worldwide accepted test report.
6 IHE Profiles are currently available under the IHE Conformity Assessment Program increasing to 15 IHE Profiles by spring 2016. IHE thanks these first vendors for their foresight, initiative and demonstration of commitment to advancing quality in interoperability.
