IHE-Europe NEWS Pulse
Dear Members and Friends,
We’re seeing an ever-increasing use of health care interoperability standards in regional and national
ehealth projects around Europe.
IHE profiles such as
XDS and XCA are widely used in these health documents sharing exchange.  Many have at least some knowledge of the theoretical aspects of the IHE profiles involved - but how does one gain practical experience related to testing, simulation and debugging?
In September you’ll have the opportunity to extend your hands-on experience with IHE XDS (for documents and images) using the test, simulation and validation tools as used at IHE Connectathons.

The aim of the training course, in the words of Eric Poiseau, IHE-Europe technical manager, is to “experience the transition from the profile theory towards testing working transactions.” Eric will be in charge of all the testing during this two-day hands-on training course. At least 50% of the time will be spent with hands-on exercises using various test and simulation tools.

Don’t wait and take advantage of the Early Bird rate, which is valid until September 1st. Given the hands-on nature of this training course the number of available spaces is limited.
Timing and Location:
  • 16-17 September 2015 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands;
  • More information and booking instructions are available here.

“The knowledge and practical experience provided by this course gave me a better understanding of IHE XDS/XDS-I, their implementation and a real grasp of troubleshooting techniques. It provided a good background for me as Imaging Systems Manager at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) UK”.
Simon Hadley, Clinical systems team manager. One of the delegates from UK at the 2014 training course.
