Dear Members and Friends, Building on a successful 2016 event in Bochum, the 2017 IHE-Europe Connectathon will be hosted by the wonderful Italian city of Venice from 3-7 April 2017.
Claudio Saccavini - principle organiser - and his Arsenàl.IT team extend a warm welcome to all companies, large and small, and to the renowned team of IHE Monitors, who will jointly ensure that Venice 2017 will truly be a watershed of success for the IHE-Europe Connectathon.
Strongly supported by the Italian national and regional government health organisations, the IHE-Europe Connectathon is a unique opportunity for all vendors and other organisations to test their products and solutions, across healthcare, eHealth and mHealth, in a structured environment along with those of their peers.
European/regional projects will perform a Projectathon testing their interoperability-based IHE Profiles.
EHealth tenders increasingly demand current, independent demonstration of IHE implementation competency. This is now even more crucial following last year’s decision by the European Commission that “27 IHE Profiles are eligible for referencing in public procurements as technical specifications”.
A number of international and Italian events will be taking place around the IHE-Europe Connectathon including:
Joint European Symposium looking at policies and deployment initiatives for eHealth interoperability.
Affiliated meetings of national and regional working groups on eHealth as well as European Commission projects.
This is a crucially important time to participate in theIHE-Europe Connectathon – don’t miss out – prepare to participate.
Sincerely IHE-Europe Team
