As the Bad Faith Update enters its fourth year, we want to take this opportunity to thank our fellow practitioners and subscribers for allowing our firm to be involved in so many interesting and unique cases. We are grateful for the opportunity to assist our many co-counsel, claimants, and insureds in maximizing recoveries.
Likewise, we greatly appreciate the many kind emails and phone calls we receive regarding our content and are thankful that these missives are of benefit to others grappling with issues in this complex and ever-changing area of the law.
No coverage or bad faith case is identical and each presents its own challenges. It is our hope, as we conclude our third year that the Bad Faith Update is of continuing value to the bench and bar in helping develop a thoughtful and just body of law to address misconduct in the claims handling arena.
With the recent statutory changes and their uncertain impact, we look forward to addressing new issues and working with everyone to insure future misconduct on the part of insurance carriers does not go unchecked.
