Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery have re-opened!

Take the kids in to see MPRG: FIFTY, celebrating 50 years of MPRG’s collection.

Visit the website for a series of creative activities with artist/educator Jill Anderson and animator Jerome Rush, including create a paper mache bowl, observational collage, make a crazy crocodile hand puppet or a 3-legged stick sculpture.

Free activities for ages 2-12 and teens.

The Briars Junior Rangers - WILD ART.

Join the Rangers and explore the dramatic winter landscape in the Briars Wildlife Sanctuary, discovering natural materials that can be transformed into nature art.

Suitable for 6-10 year olds.


Climate Emergency Plan Youth Art Competition : Drawing Our Future Calling all young artists!

The Mornington Peninsula Shire Council has recently launched “Ensuring Our Future’ draft Climate Emergency Plan for community consultation and would love for you to be involved. Climate change is impacting each and every one of us worldwide and now is your chance to draw your dream for a sustainable future. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

There are two ways to be involved in the competition:
Option One: DRAWING OUR FUTURE - I Care for My Climate (open to ages 3 to 12 years)
• Get creative with our colouring in sheet
• Entries close at 6pm on Friday 17 July.
• Prizes will be awarded to one winner in each age group (Ages 3-5, 6-8, 9-12).

Option Two: DRAWING OUR FUTURE - My Dream for a Sustainable Peninsula in 2030 (open to ages 3 to 18 years)
• Start with a blank sheet (maximum A3 sized) and draw your dream for a sustainable Peninsula.
• Entries close at 6pm on Friday 17 July.
• Prizes will be awarded to one winner in each age group (Ages 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, 13-15,16-18).
