Last chance to get your tickets for Feast in the Street! They're almost gone!

Some Good News

Soon people walking will get a head start at 144 intersections across Seattle! This will make these crosswalks safer and more comfortable, which given recent concerning trends, is critical. 

Read more or watch the video above to see what these "leading pedestrian intervals" look like (notice people walking get a few seconds of green time before the cars do, giving them a chance to get out into the intersection).  

Construction begins this month on 3 critical pieces of the #BasicBikeNetwork

While there will be several notable gaps which are far from ideal, we are thrilled that 3 critical pieces of the #BasicBikeNetwork are beginning construction this month!

Thanks to years of community advocacy that led to the resolution passed through City Council last year, by the end of 2019 Seattle will have a complete, comfortable bike connection all the way from the Westlake Trail to Chinatown/International District and beyond, as well as a significant improvement for riders in Capitol Hill.

#FixRainier Moves Forward

After years of advocacy by our local group, Rainier Valley Greenways, and our community partners, six intersections will be improved this summer and fall along Seattle's most dangerous street.

The Move All Seattle Sustainably (MASS) Coalition, of which Seattle Neighborhood Greenways is a part, hosted five forums recently, asking candidates for Seattle City Council tough questions about Transportation, Housing, and Sustainability.
