Safe Streets Activism Heats Up This Fall

Earlier this month, grassroots advocates — voicing concerns on everything from promised bike lanes, to the climate emergency, to the need for sidewalks that are safe for all users — led City Council to pass the first three bills in the Move All Seattle Sustainably Transportation Package. We're willing to say, the MASS Transportation Package, a groundbreaking set of policy reforms and investments in sidewalks, bus lanes, and bike paths, is the BEST local transportation legislation in the nation. And Monday, September 30th, you have an opportunity to help move the next three pieces of this groundbreaking legislation through City Council!

At Seattle Neighborhood Greenways, we believe that every child deserves to walk or bike to school safely and comfortably. That's why we're working on citywide, systemic solutions.
