Release countdown and giveaway
Summer is here! The photo above is of my new refuge and sanctuary—my back deck. With a south-facing view of our property, and lovely filtered light in the early evening, this is where you'll often find me with my laptop and a cup of tea or glass of wine in the hours before sunset.
The beginning of summer also means we're getting very close to the release of BEFORE SHE WAKES: Forbidden Fairy Tales (July 19, Loveswept)! In celebration, I'm going to give away 5 COPIES to newsletter subscribers on release day. So if you have friends who like erotic romance, be sure to let them know!
In BEFORE SHE WAKES news, I learned this week that the book will be featured in a series of Most Eagerly Anticipated Romance and Erotic Fiction for 2016 compiled by Toyboy Warehouse, which has an award-winning dating site and blog with 100,000 members. Goodreads reviews are also off to a terrific start. Here's a review sampling:
- If you love hot steamy sex scenes with some twist and turns, you will want to read this book.
- Six fairy tales stories each hotter than hot. Great read!!
- Wow. This collection of short stories was definitely a fun read. Every story was just so out there and interesting that at times I couldn't help but be completely drawn into it.
I'm also very excited to announce that the novel one of these short stories was based on, THE OPHELIA PROPHECY, will be re-released next month in e-book form with a brand-new cover and a new, lower price! (Cover design by the fabulous Danielle Fine.) We've had the rights back for this book for a while, and I can't wait to get it out there again. The story based on this book, "The Dragonfly Prince," is so far one of the most popular stores in BEFORE SHE WAKES.
One last bit of exciting news, this time for ECHO 8 ... My publisher was unable to get ECHO 8 entered in the RITAs this year due to the record speed with which RWA received their maximum number of entries. However, the book has been named a finalist in both the FF&P chapter's Prism Awards (futuristic category) and the Kiss of Death chapter's Daphne du Maurier Awards (paranormal category). Winners will be announced at parties at RWA nationals in July. I can't be there, but both groups are looking into streaming options, so I may be able to participate in some fashion.
That's it for me! Here's to summer, and I wish you many good books and plenty of time for fun in the sun.
