NEW OWNER AT THE FORMER FRED'S DELI
A well know face in the community is the new owner of the former Fred's Deli at West 112 and Detroit Avenue. Property owner LaCresta Properties LLC has leased the storefront at 11119 Detroit to Ayman Kabra, longtime owner of Avenue Deli near West 110 and Detroit. Avenue Deli will remain open and operating in its current location.
La Cresta Properties will provide a full interior remodel of the retail space at 11119 Detroit Avenue. There will be a new interior layout with new window design. Ayman is considering a new name for the store and will have his colleague Sam acting as store manager. Already the store has changed - cleaner, brighter, more product and curb appeal.
LaCresta Properties will also be renovating and leasing the 11115 Detroit Avenue storefront as a separate space. It is about 750 square feet and will feature a refurbished vintage tin ceiling and hardwood floors. It will be ready for lease in the first quarter of 2017. LaCresta Properties welcomes inquiries from anyone looking to be part of the West Edge commercial district.
Denis Morrissey of LaCresta Properties LLC can be reached at 1.440.228.0452.
BOOKS NEEDED FOR THE LITTLE FREE LIBRARY
The Little Free Library at Baltic Park can use some new books for the neighborhood kids to borrow. If you are able to donate a few, please contact Linda at the Cudell office to arrange pick up or drop off. Or just place them at the LIttle Free Library at your convenience. Ann Rowlett continues to volunteer to maintain the LFL. Check out flea markets and garage sales for the best bargains on childrens' books. Thanks a bunch!
