Dear <<First Name>>

Labour Party conference has not been great for the Left, to put it mildly. Starmer had to climb down on some issues like the re-introduction of the electoral college for leadership elections (which the right is probably going to bring to conference next year), but there is no doubt that the blatant rigging and gerrymandering of conference has paid off for the right. Dozens of delegates have been suspended and expelled in the run up to conference - and some, like our comrade Leah Levane from Jewish Voice for Labour - was expelled there and then and was even bundled off by the police! A truly horrific scene that should have no place at any Labour Party conference worthy of the name.

Leah will be joining us at tonight's 'Defend the Left' fringe meeting - come along to hear her story!

We now need to discuss how to move forward and how we can continue to organise. If you're in Brighton, please come to our events and protests - you can also watch online.

Rialto Theatre: Not the Forde Inquiry II with Ken Loach

As the dwindling resources of Starmer’s Labour continue to be spent paying erstwhile spies and those on short term contracts to search for signs of dissent, “Not The Forde Inquiry” will reconvene to give witness to face to face testimony from victims of the biggest political witch hunt in British history at the Resist Event in the Rialto Theatre, Brighton, during the Labour Party conference this September.

Expect the most unexpected, as Dorothy Walker (Jackie Walker’s allegedly deceased mother), rises once more from her world touring show “The Lynching” to act as judge to your witness. Ken Loach and Graham Bash serve as jurors. The dramatisation of Labour's witch-hunt is part of the Resist Event and will be live-streamed here:

We have released another 40 tickets – including an “overspill” remote Zoom party at The Quadrant. Book now via Eventbrite
