This month, Pastor Neal is preaching a sermon series about camels in the Bible (which were a valued resource in the ancient world) and how we can manage our own resources for the benefit of our communities and those we love.  Join us on Sundays at 9am (outdoors) and 11am (sanctuary & online).

Outdoor childcare (on the playground) is now available at the church for both worship services.  If you are participating online, our 11am service will be broadcast on our church website, or you can click the green button below on Sunday morning to join via Facebook live:

2020 has been a difficult year for all of us--emotionally, financially, and physically.  Your giving to First Presbyterian Church helps us to continue proclaiming hope and love during these challenging times, and also helps us to budget for what ministries we are able to provide in the year to come.

Please click on the Blue "My Commitment to FPC" Button below to register your financial pledge to the church for 2021:

Due to safety concerns, our annual "Hanging of the Greens" -- where we decorate our church for the Advent and Christmas season -- will take place throughout November.  We are encouraging people to come by the church one person (or family) at a time during church office hours to volunteer and help us put out decorations.  Office hours are Monday through Thursday 8am - 5pm.  If you are unable to come during office hours, please call Patty in the church office at 915-533-7551 to schedule a time that works for you.
Last Sunday's worship service and Pastor Neal's sermon on "Counting Camels" in the Book of Job is available to watch by clicking on the image above.  You can also find recent sermons and worship videos on our church YouTube Channel as well as our Facebook page
There will be an online (via zoom) Congregational Meeting on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at 5:00pm  to elect new church officers for the 2021 year.  The week prior to the meeting, we'll post a link here in the newsletter and on the church website for access to the meeting.  All church members are encouraged to participate and vote for our leadership in the coming year.

The following church members have been nominated by our church-wide nominating committee:  Nicole Kuiper and Herminia Escajeda, Elders Class of 2023; Darci Escandon, Elders Class of 2021; Joanna Arriola, Sarah Quiñones, and Greg Gates, Deacons Class of 2023; Demetri Cochran, Christina Montoya, and Rusty Booth, Trustees, Class of 2023.
For several years our church has supported Project Vida y supplying gifts to a group of children who otherwise would not receive Christmas presents.  Sadly, due to Covid there will not be a party at Project Vida this year, but we still have 42 "Angels" who need gifts.  If you decide to help with this mission, we ask that each child receive 2-3 pairs of new socks and two new toys. The suggested total cost of these gifts should be between $25 and $50.  Please know that you may share an angel with another person or family.

Monetary donations are greatly appreciated to buy additional gifts, wrapping paper, and gift bags.  If you would like to do this, please send the donations to:  First Presbyterian Church of El Paso // ATTN: Angel Tree Project // 1340 Murchison Dr. // El Paso, Tx 79902.

This year the Angels will be available on Monday, November 23rd.  You will need to call Pat or Patty (numbers below).  They will help you select an Angel.  The gifts can be brought to the church during regular office hours on any day, but the final day to turn in gifts will be Monday, December 14th.  All gifts should be labeled with the Angel's name and age!

A New Option:  Amazon delivery is a possibility if you make your purchase early enough for it to be delivered by Friday, December 11.  Include a figt card with the Angel's name and age.  Please let Pat or Patty know you chose to do this and send the gifts to:  Pat McLaughlin // 6166 Los Felinos Circle // El Paso, Tx 79912

Thank you in advance for participating in this impactful mission of our church that will bring some much needed joy to the children of Project Vida.  If you have questions or concerns, please contact Pat McLaughlin (H: 915-262-4447; C:512-809-5512; mimimacep@gmail.com) or Patty Herrera (915-533-7551; patty@fpcep.org).
