Mapping US Wine Regions

Blue Raster worked with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) to map over 270 of America’s Viticultural Areas (AVA). Using Esri ArcGIS tools, we developed the AVA Map Explorer, a web mapping application to view, compare and download AVA boundaries. Start exploring today!

Alive at Green-Wood Cemetery

Alive at Green-Wood is a new mobile application that lets visitors explore the natural heritage, trees and wildlife on the grounds of Brooklyn's famous Green-Wood Cemetery. The app allows you to view its three main themes: Art, History, or Nature. The map portion of the app was developed with Esri's ArcGIS API for JavaScript. Read more.
Power BI meetup

Power BI Meetup at Blue Raster

Blue Raster hosted the DC Power BI User Group for their September meetup. Stephanie Bruno, Meagan Longoria, and Jon Lipke presented on the theme of inclusive design and creating accessible reports. We learned about accessibility features in Microsoft Power BI and how to design Power BI reports with inclusiveness in mind. Read more about our Power BI work here.

Manny Fleurival and Rachel Stock attended the Big Design Conference in Dallas, TX. They heard from some of the biggest names in User Experience, Usability, User Research, and Design Thinking. Keynote speaker Jared Spool spoke about the importance of designing a great experience for users.
