Actor and environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio shared a post on Instagram featuring Global Forest Watch Fires. He suggested the application as a great way for people to stay informed about the fires in the Amazon. The post received over 1.1 million likes and created major spikes in traffic to the GFW Fires site. It's great to see the impact of our work on a global scale.
Disaster Response Workshop
The Blue Raster team attended an ArcGIS Solutions for Emergency Management workshop at Esri’s Redlands Campus to learn about the range of products that help emergency management officials manage response resources and visualize events. We are excited to add these capabilities to our continuously growing line of GIS professional services, and our team is ready to contribute to new emergency preparedness and disaster response efforts.
ArcGIS Urban Workshop
Project Manager Megan Gottfried took her ArcGIS Urban skills to the next level at Esri’s "Deploying ArcGIS Urban" training. The new ArcGIS Urban platform is an innovative, 3D experience designed to streamline urban planning processes and municipal decision-making. Megan learned both the back-end and front-end of ArcGIS Urban to be prepared to provide our clients with tips and best practices for deployment.

Previously, Shannon was the Senior Informatics Officer at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
