The Caves Beach - Swansea Area Sustainable Neighbourhood Group had glorious weather and a great turn out for their launch event earlier in October.
Check out a run down and some photos here.
And, we're looking forward to the launch of the Greater Charlestown Sustainable Neighbourhood Group coming up on 8 November.  They are holding a fun family day in Kahibah Memorial Park.  Visit their webpage or facebook page for all the info.

Would you like to engage with your local high school?

The Alliance board has recently sent a letter of introduction and an invitation to high school principals to collaborate with Sustainable Neighbourhood groups on education and action initiatives in 2015.

We are inviting staff and students in secondary schools to help develop and implement an environmental education program starting in 2015 - possibly focussing on litter reduction.

If we get some interest, we'll get in touch with Sustainable Neighbourhood groups near to the particular school, and invite your group to be involved.  Or if you've got some great ideas to engage with local young people, please get in touch.
What a year!

We've compiled a list of the current and completed projects Sustainable Neighbourhood groups have been doing between July 2013 and now.
It's a really long list!

Have a look here at all the amazing work of Sustainable Neighbourhoods from around Lake Macquarie.

We'll use this list to report to the AGM on Sunday.  Is there anything missing?  Are there other great things you have been up to that we don't know about?
