Dear Friends,

We hope this finds you all well. We wanted to reach out to share the latest news with you. As you all know, we officially launched our fully bilingual Decision Tree in June. It was a wonderful celebration (see photos below).

The emphasis this year is on getting the word out about the tool. Please help us by:

1. Sending the bethechoice.org link to friends and family
2.  Like us and share us on Facebook
3.  We have a series of facebook ads coming - please share these as widely as you can
4. Help us spread the word with primary health care centers - ask your doctor if we can come and present Be the Choice in their practice!
4.  Tell your story - be in touch with us about how you have used or shared the Decision Tree and we'll feature you in an upcoming newsletter.

Cancer patients need choices now more than ever.  Thanks for being part of the team.

xo,

"Coaching the Coaches" at the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation.

Kristy Bright and Melanie Adrian went to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation in September to coach the Cancer Coaches on the use of the Decision Tree. They were warmly received and the tool is now in use at the Foundation. This is what one of the coaches sent us a few weeks ago.

"In early September, you both came to offer a presentation to our cancer coaching team at the Cancer Foundation about Be the Choice and how to use the website and the decision trees. I remember asking you for feedback from clients or any experiences that you'd want to know about. I've mentioned the website to a few clients and most recently met with a new client whose primary need was information to better understand her treatment options for breast
cancer and we used the website together during our appointment. I was able to walk her through the decision tree for her type of breast cancer and she explored the website further at home after our appointment. She was very clear during that appointment that she felt she needed to understand the path ahead and what options there were to make an informed decision. When she saw me next, she kept mentioning how much the Be the Choice website helped her and how it was exactly what she needed at that time. I thought it was worth letting you know that it really made a difference to her. It is very helpful to us too as coaches. This client was francophone so I'm really glad your website is bilingual."

Decision Tree goes to Kanata.

Doctors at the Westend Family Health Care Practice listened closely as Melanie introduced Be the Choice and the Decision Tree. They only interrupted the presentation once - about 5 minutes in with "We're SOLD!" We couldn't be more delighted!

[If you know of any other primary health practices that would like to have us come and present, please contact us.]
