The past period of lockdown, I have spent quite some time in my studio. Thinking, writing, cleaning up, contemplation. The time that has arisen due to postponement of exhibitions in the Netherlands and abroad, I have spent on developing and making new work, renewing my website and realizing my new studio.
After the first bizarre weeks I was able to work very nice and focused.

Beach series
Many walks on the beach have produced a new series of smaller works: the ‘Beach’ series. All made with great pleasure en joy.
The ‘Beach’ series is a group of sculptures with the same shape and size and different colours, structures and sound. They are very flexible, nice to play with and can be arranged in various ways. They move like the tides, an ongoing movement. Every colour is unique and seen by me on the beach. Each sculpture has the inscription -C- and its own number.
Size lying flat: 24x24x5 cm. Shaped as a circle in your hand: 18x18x6 cm.

A nice assignment for a wall installation has resulted in this work:
"Sand and wind" 105x65x11 cm.
It can be hung in many ways and is available in various colours.
