Neo Project: Doug Ellis Pool
Doug Ellis Pool
Doug Ellis Pool
Monash University

The restoration and hand over of the Doug Ellis Pool was a highlight for Neo Construct in the latter part of 2014 as it proved to be one of the most interesting and challenging projects undertaken by Neo Construct to date. It involved the complete removal of the roof to make way for the installation of an entirely new roof structure with integrated Dorma windows, allowing for natural light into the pool deck area. Works were also carried out on the variable pool itself involved re-tiling and balancing of the variable system, which, due to its complexity, proved particularly challenging. We are delighted to say the project was a great success and Neo would like to thank our client Monash University and BKK Architects for all their efforts.

Please take a few minutes to view the time-lapse video of the project.

C1 Lecture Theatre and Grounds
Building 63 – C1 Lecture Theatre and Grounds

Neo Construct were again contracted to complete the renovations of another lecture theatre to be carried out over the semester break, to minimise disruptions. Neo has now renovated 14 lecture spaces for Monash, more than any other single provider of these upgrades on campus. It was imperative that this space was handed over on time and defect free, as it was completely booked out from the beginning of the new semester, with no other space available for relocating lectures.

We are delighted to say that Neo exceeded the client’s expectations and not only condensed the program but also achieved a defect free hand over.

Clarendon Street
Clarendon Street
Retail / Residential

The conversion of these Clarendon Street premises to provide two retail / office spaces on the ground floor and two self-contained units on the first was a rewarding project.

It combined both a new and modern fit out to the retail / office spaces on the ground level and period sensitive renovations to the 1st floor units above. The addition of a new canopy over the shops has lifted the street appeal of the building and gives an improved aesthetic and a significant presence in the Clarendon Street precinct.
