From the Chair

April brings us to a major fundraising event - the Spring Dinner. Be there! LCDC grew by two dozen members since the 2016 election, so you are sure to make new friends as well as enjoy the company of those you’ve known for years.

Congratulations to our 16 Democratic candidates whose petitions put them on the Primary ballot! And praise also to the Hispanic Initiative on a successful fundraiser.

Between now and April 17th, VOTER REGISTRATION is a key initiative and will be led by Hazel Diaz – get in touch with her if you can help –

A few reminders are in order –

  • Because of the snow we had to reschedule our two speakers on MONEY and DATA in political activity. Now, Joe Bachman will address the Data side at our Executive Meeting on April 5, and Greg Paulson will be with us on April 19th to talk about how we handle Money. Both topics are important for candidates AND committee members.
  • When you go to , be sure to check the Judicial Candidate bios, which you can find under “Our Party” and then “Candidates.” Also be sure to check the “Action Center.”
  • The Communications Committee is working on a new logo proposal and then a new outdoor sign to replace our badly beaten up one.
  • Remember to schedule the office when you plan to use it – email or call Kathy Eschenfelder, 707-867-1112.

Make a difference – volunteer for and support our candidates.

Deminar this Wednesday, April 5

This week's executive meeting will include an instructive Deminar  (Democratic + Seminar) on the use of Data and some newer features of VoteBuilder to help make your Election Campaign more powerful.   If you are a candidate or a campaign worker, you may find this very useful.
Presentation by Joe Bachman
The Democratic Party Platform is available to read online or print (50 pages) at this link.

The party states this is "our most progressive platform in our party’s history and a declaration of how we plan to move America forward. Democrats believe that cooperation is better than conflict, unity is better than division, empowerment is better than resentment, and bridges are better than walls."
