Know Your CSA Farmer!

The best way to find the right CSA program for you is to get to know your farmer. Make sure to chat farmers up before the spring farm season heats up! Here's where you'll find Band of Farmers members:

14th Annual Good Food EXPO
Greet spring and celebrate the growth of local food in our region!
FamilyFarmed’s Good Food EXPO kicks off on Friday, March 23 with the Good Food Trade Show: Production, Policy & Industry Exchange. Industry stakeholders come together for a day of exhibiting, educational programming, networking opportunities and free farmer training workshops. The free Good Food Festival returns Saturday, March 24, bringing together families, producers, top chefs and experts to celebrate the fast-growing Good Food movement. Attend workshops, shop for local foods, watch celebrity chef demonstrations, have your backyard soil tested, connect kids to food, eat at the Good Food Court and much more. More information at: goodfoodEXPO.org

Band of Farmers Arlington Heights CSA EXPO
Join us Saturday, April 14th, 12pm-5pm at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library for this annual CSA Kickoff event. The Arlington Heights CSA Expo always offers an opportunity to meet local farmers, learn more about their farming techniques and practices, and get a window into what they have underway this spring.

SCARCE Growin' Green Garden Market
Members of the Band of Farmers will join the SCARCE Growin' Green Garden Market, which takes place on Saturday, May 5th from 9am - 1pm at 799 Roosevelt Road, Glen Ellyn. This event kicks off the growing season with variety of native and plant seedlings, food scrap amended compost, mini-workshops and more.

Check our Facebook events page to find more details. We look forward to seeing you!

CSA Farmers Got Talent!

The Farmers Talent Show is making a triumphant return this April and you won't want to miss the talent!

In partnership with the Chillinois Young Farmer Coalition, the Band of Farmers will host its annual Farmer Talent Show to gather our Chicagoland community. Come see your favorite CSA farmers and friends sing, dance, and generally unwind before the farming season gets underway! The good times take place at Begyle Brewery on April 7th, doors open at 6pm with performances starting at 7pm. Tickets are $20 and include food and an open bar of select beers from Begyle. Half of proceeds go directly to Band of Farmers and Chillinois Young Farmer Coalition. Come out to meet and support Chicagoland farmers!
