ARLINGTON HEIGHTS LIBRARY CSA EXPO APRIL 14th 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
We look forward to seeing everyone at Arlington Heights CSA Expo again this year! The library is located at 500 N Dunton Ave, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
The annual Arlington Heights Library CSA Expo is coming up this Saturday (April 14th) in the Hendrickson Room of the Arlington Heights Library from 1 PM - 5 PM. Attendance this year is free.
Come meet dozens of local farmers and good food providers offering CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) programs and locally produced farm products to consumers. Farms represented at the CSA Expo offer organic and sustainably produced fruits and vegetables as well as grass fed beef and raw milk, and pasture-raised pork, chicken, and eggs; baked and canned goods, and sustainably-harvested seafood. Visitors will be able to meet their farmers, learn more about their products, order CSAs for the upcoming season, and even purchase local food products at the Expo.
Products available for sale from the farmers and providers on Saturday will likely include seedling plants, vegetables, greens, berries, chicken and duck eggs, jams, pickled items, local honey, and more. Farmers will be available to talk about how they raise their products, how to buy directly from the farm, what farmers markets they attend, where their delivery or drop points are, and any other questions you may have.
This event is organized by The Band of Farmers, a non-profit group of Chicago area farms providing local food products and CSA programs.
