In November I visited the Abbey Theatre to watch an evening of Shakespeare with a twist.  The Abbey Theatre is truly one of our great local treasures and I have been lucky enough to be present at numerus performances over the years which have made me laugh and cry in equal measure.

       Electric Blue has launched the
       Electric revolution!

We are working to switch the UK's taxi fleet to electric vehicles, powered by renewable energy. We are working with Local Authorities, businesses, taxi drivers and the public to deliver cleaner air and quieter streets.

The revolution comprises three parts:

ELECTRIC TAXIS

RAPID CHARGERS

TAXI APP
  • St Albans has some of the worst air quality outside of London that has negative health impacts (Herts Ad & Telegraph)
  • 75% of Electric Vehicle (EV) drivers are unable to charge at work
  • Tax and grant incentives are available for company electric vehicles and chargers
  • EVs not only improve local air quality and offer excellent CSR benefits but offer significant financial savings - fuel savings of 15p per mile or more, no road tax, 50-60% cheaper servicing costs, no congestion charge and also exempt from the upcoming T charge in London

Let's talk digital - Julie Gingell

What risks are today's organisations facing?

This is the question asked at SA Law’s recent “Let’s talk digital” event at the Institute of Directors in London. Hertfordshire’s largest 200 businesses achieve substantial growth in sales, profits and employment

Hertfordshire's businesses have delivered a positive story for the county's business community, says a new report published earlier this month, with the 200 largest privately owned companies posting a healthy rise in turnover, profitability and employment.

The Hertfordshire Limited study, conducted by business advisers Grant Thornton in association with Hertfordshire LEP, provides an in depth financial analysis of the performance of the 200 largest companies which are owned and managed in the county.

The finding of this year's report, unveiled to Hertfordshire business leaders at a breakfast event hosted by Grant Thornton in association with Hertfordshire LEP, showed combined turnover for the county's top 200 companies grew by a substantial 12.3% to £15.4bn.
