Still networking in his early 90’s, Edgar Albert Charles Pearce is a retired Company Director from St Albans, and was President of the St Albans District Chamber of Commerce in 1980. Edgar, known locally for founding Pearce Recycling Company Ltd, attended our Business Festival Finale Lunch (sponsored by Mercer & Hole Chartered Accountants) at Sopwell House Hotel on Friday 8th July. He took this opportunity to chat with Ed Vaizey MP and catch up with Chamber members from previous years.

Long standing Chamber director Michael Weaver worked with Edgar on the Chamber board for many years: “It was wonderful to see Edgar at this Chamber lunch, he has always stayed in touch with us taking an interest in the Chamber's activities and progression.”

Guest speaker Ed Vaizey MP, gave a timely update from Westminster post-brexit answering various questions from the delegates attending. “Certainty is the watch word for business” said the Minister, he added: “this referendum proves that politics matters”.
