Adapting Cultural Learning to Virtual Setting

AFS Global Conference Convenes 500 Leaders of Global Competence Education

The newest PISA results show the crucial role educators and the wider community have in helping students develop global competence. PISA Global Competence Assessment were presented at the virtual AFS Global Conference which convened 500 education influencers from 74 countries. Clemson University Adopts the GCC

We're thrilled to welcome Clemson University from South Carolina in the USA as our newest institutional partner that will prepare to have a first cohort of students go through the GCC at Home in 2021. This renowned institution has also committed to having staff from the Wilbur O. And Ann Powers College of Business participate in the upcoming Qualified Facilitator Training.

GCC at Home and at Work Now Available in French

In an effort to make global competence education more accessible, AFS is proud to offer the GCC at Home and GCC at Work programs translated fully into French. In the GCC At Home and At Work learners have the opportunity to collaborate effectively across differences in a program requiring no travel. It brings into learners’ awareness that culture is all around us within our own communities.

This is the 3rd language in which this program is offered, after English and Spanish. Learners can now opt to watch any of the educational videos, use the forum and all other program features in their language of choice. The translation allows us to expand our reach to French language department institutions, public and private sectors and NGOs worldwide.
