Workplace Well-being with Judith Hackitt

Last November the UWA Centre for Safety hosted Dame Judith Hackitt DBE Chair of the UK Health, Safety and Environment Executive, for a Well-being at Work seminar. While at The University of Western Australia, our researchers sat with Judith for a one on one interview to discuss her extensive experience and insights on workplace well-being.

Tune into the above video to hear about the UK HSE's perspective on well-being issues in the workplace, including fascinating examples such as the 2012 London Olympic Games.

MOOC: Psychology of Work

Interested in learning how to apply psychological principles at work to improve well-being and safety?

The UWA Accelerated Learning Lab has developed a Massive Open Online Course entitled: "Psychology at Work". Launching in May 2016, this course involves learning from world-leading scholars from the School of Psychology and Business School at The University of Western Australia, on areas in work psychology, including: occupational health and safety, motivation, leadership, teamwork, and work design.

  • Professor Mark Griffin (Director, Centre for Safety) will be speaking at the first Community of Practice Safety Culture and Climate Symposium entitled: "Safety Culture from the Regulator's Perspective". This symposium will be held at Monash University. More information here.
