The LRSP's new website
 
The LRSP invites you to visit its new website at https://padl-lrsp.uottawa.ca. Launched in February 2015, the website encountered some technical glitches that have since been repaired. In the coming months, improvements will continue to be made in order to make browsing easier, continue to meet requirements of the Accessiblity Act and add more interesting content. This month we analyzed the decision in the Commission scolaire francophone du Yukon case. The court ordered a new trial and the community must maintain the status quo.

ACELF 68e congrès: En français? Avec plaisir! 24-26 septembre 2015

This fall, the LRSP will participate in the 68th conference of the ACELF, the Canadian association of French-language education, as an exhibitor. We will be hosting a booth to present our new educational lesson plans on constitutional language rights. We hope to see you there! (Website available in French only.)

On May 29, the Director of the LRSP, Geneviève Boudreau attended the annual general meeting of the Quebec Community Newspapers Association (QCNA) in Montreal. The QCNA "is dedicated to the professional and economic development of English community newspapers and their enterprises serving minority communities in Quebec.."

During the AGM, the speakers discussed the future of community newspapers in relation with the use of online platforms, diversification of products and sales strategies, among other topics.
