Over the years, it has become more and more difficult to distribute Bibles to school children in the USA as the culture shifts away from Godly values. However, in Papua New Guinea, the government recently paid for the printing and distribution of thousands of New Testaments with Psalms and Proverbs, making it a part of their school curriculum. English is the language of instruction from the third grade up in PNG. It was with great joy that I was asked to provide the text of the World English Bible and typesetting services for this project. I rejoiced when I just got some samples of the finished product in the mail. The government's endorsement encourages all students to read the Bible daily. Praise God!

Bible PDFs are here!
I just finished the main part of the software that fully automatically converts Bibles to PDF format. The main advantage of PDF files over the other formats we already provide is that it is the best format for printing from. This is where electronic Scripture publishing and print Scripture publishing get blurred together. For example, it was from a PDF file that the above book was printed. The big difference, now, is that it used to be a partially manual process to make them, but now my computer can do the whole process. That means that I can now keep current PDFs available for every Bible that I'm allowed to distribute that way. You can see them at eBible.org/pdf.

Merry Christmas!
Thank you for praying for the Every Tribe Every Nation Digital Bible Library meetings in Philadelphia. It was definitely worth the trip. More progress was made at improving cooperation between Bible translation agencies, Bible societies, and ministries publishing and distributing Bible translations. It is awesome to see such cooperation between diverse parts of the Body of Christ.
