More Magazines, no Checkout Limits!

 Just some of the magazines now available for free with a CLAMS card through Overdrive. 

The library's collection of digital magazines has been expanded! Some of the most expensive magazine subscriptions, such as the New York Review of BooksThe Economist and the The New Yorker, are now available for free for CLAMS cardholders through Overdrive Magazines. Looking for a lighter read? Overdrive Magazines also has US WeeklyStar, and even the U.K.'s famous gossip-and-celebrity rag Hello! You can also find inspiration in cooking, craft, home decorating and photography magazines; or pursue special interests in sports, technology or hunting and fishing. You can even practice a language by borrowing international magazines, or dig deep on global subjects such as the Harvard Business Review Brasil in Portuguese. 

You can browse Overdrive Magazines by clicking here. If you haven't created an Overdrive account, you will need to do so. Then log in using your library card number and the password (usually the last four digits of the card.)  Overdrive magazines are always available with no wait times, and they do not count against patron checkout limits. If you have any problems or questions, call us at 508-696-4211. 

If you prefer print magazines, you can still checkout your favorites through contactless pickup, including the most recent issues. Just call or email the library to let us know what you would like and choose a day to pickup your order.

This 5-week course will cover the basics of playing the ukulele or guitar and explore how music can serve as a mindfulness practice. We will learn how playing an instrument can aid us in time management, stress relief, or simply as a fun way to occupy our time. Focus will be placed on the practical aspects of learning the instrument. By the end of the class you will be confident in your ability to play several great songs, and have the tools to learn many more. Requirements: Ukulele or guitar, Zoom-capable device, Headphones. Weekly Children's Programs
Each week our Youth Services librarians create "Take & Make" bags filled with themed educational activities. Virtual Storytime and video tutorials on our Facebook and YouTube pages enhance the Take & Make bag activities. Bags are available for pickup weekly on Sundays from 3pm - 5pm (on a first come basis while supplies last). For more information, contact Emily our Children's Librarian! Teen "Take & Make" craft bags are also available weekly, Young Adult Librarian Jennifer can provide the details!

For program announcements follow our Kids & Young Adults Facebook Page, and check out our new YouTube channel. Books are now available from the library through contactless pickup, and eBooks are available through our digital library resources for kids.

The Library Building is temporarily closed to the public. Contactless pickup of books, movies, CDs, magazines, and other library material is available 6 days a week.
