APRIL FMCG NEWSLETTER
Mid-March saw a significant announcement in the beer industry. Chancellor George Osborne announced that beer duty would be cut by 1p a pint for the third year running. For spirits and ciders, the cut would be 2p.

We will see the effect of this over the next 12 
months, but I would expect to see an increase in job creation and the pressure on margins being eased.

With the volume of beer being sold increasing in 2014, it is an exciting time to be involved with the industry.
