REAL ESTATE UPDATE
June has arrived and we are excited for all the great activities and events in our Mountain towns.
The Canmore market is staying very active although we have seen our listing inventory increase giving more options for buyers that are looking. One number we use a lot is the months of inventory and right now we sit well below that of a balanced market showing that we are still in a seller’s market in Canmore.

This is to be expected at this time of year and with the strong month of May that we had. We are seeing some multiple offer situation and certain market segments are seeing properties sell right away. The average days on market for the properties that sold in May was 48 which is the lowest in 2 years. Interesting to note that current active listings throughout the market have an average days on market of over 100. This shows the strength of listing your home at the correct price with the correct marketing, we were proud to have our homes sell 5% faster than the rest of the market.
Canmore and Banff are ready to celebrate Canada Day again on July 1st. If you have not taken part in the festivities, you should really take the opportunity to come out. Starting with a pancake breakfast to an amazing parade featuring many of the floats/bands that are gearing up for the Calgary Stampede Parade it surely is not to be missed. Other activities include a fun run, party in the park and of course fireworks to wrap it all up. Banff also has a parade and evening show in central park, it is a great day to enjoy the Bow Valley
