From the Directors Desk

First Refuge Family,

Happy New Year! My prayer is that you had a great start to the New Year. As we think of the New Year I would ask you to pray more for First Refuge Ministries as changes have been happening and will continue to happen. I have heard that change is evidence that God is working in your life. As changes happen please pray for me, especially to make decisions that bring honor and glory to God. I think we will look back at 2016 as a year of change and unity for God's people. In whatever capacity you support us, please hang in there with me. May God bless you and prosper you this year.

For His glory,

Paul Juarez
Executive Director

Immediate Volunteer Need
First Refuge is in immediate need of a couple men that would be willing to help pick up fresh produce from Lewisville twice a month. It would be every other Tuesday and takes about 2 hours of time. If you have a truck it would be helpful, but is not required. Contact Jodi Massey for more information or to volunteer.

Free CPR and AED Training
If interested, contact Brenda Eckel, medical clinic coordinator at (940) 484-4384.

Will you donate just ½ or 1 day a month to help in the medical clinic?

We need doctors, PAs, NPs, nurses, medical assistants, receptionists, patient advocates, pharmacy techs, pharmacists, and English-Spanish speakers to function as translators. The time is well spent and fulfilling to helping those who need medical care but who have no health insurance or the ability to pay for medical services. Won’t you please help?

Around First Refuge

A big thank you to Bryce Olsen and the BIG-C group who cam to First Refuge and cleaned up our storage buildings!
