Thank you to Dr. Krista Jones and Rev. Dr. Craig Stinson who have donated $25,500 to support two Edmond Public Schools programs through the Edmond Public Schools Foundation.

In memory of Rebb Sterling Jones, they have donated $18,000 for social emotional learning (SEL) and mental health, which reaches grades Pre-K through 12th.

In honor of Mitzi Hancuff, $7,500 was donated for the Art in Schools program provided to all 3rd and 4th grade elementary schools in partnership with Edmond Fine Arts Institute.

The EPS Foundation board has a goal to raise $1.25 million for SEL/mental health and $280,000 for the Art in Schools program over the next five years.

Thank you also to the Edmond Chamber of Commerce for hosting Dancing with the Stars and inspiring this generous gift!

by:  Ana Grace Boggs  & Maddy Kinder, Student Ambassadors, PR & Marketing Committee

The Edmond Public Schools Foundation (EPSF) was established to help Edmond Public Schools provide the absolute best education for its students as possible. The Student Ambassador program is made up of high school students from Edmond Santa Fe, Edmond North, and Edmond Memorial. Students help with fundraising efforts, outreach and needs in the schools, gaining valuable leadership skills in serving all of the schools in the district.

At this month's meeting, we selected officers and committee chairs:  Eli Allen for the PR and Marketing, Brighton Loberg for Volunteering, and Reagan Giordano for Fundraising. We also had the opportunity to hear from Dr. Grunewald! She described what her first months as the new Superintendent have been like then we had the opportunity to ask questions and hear about her impactful leadership as she keeps Edmond on the right track during this time of uncertainty.

What is DonorsChoose?

DonorsChoose is a great way to get teachers what they need in their classrooms. Teachers pick a project that they want funded and, after EPSF applies a kickstarter grant, the community can help get the project fully funded. This benefits our students and teachers.

DonorsChoose connects teachers seeking resources and experiences for their classrooms, with interested funders, and then facilitates donations to these project requests. Many teachers take money out of their pocket to make the learning environment an easier place for students to learn. With DonorsChoose, these needs are met without teachers having to take money out of their own pockets. Donors Choose is extremely helpful!

We’re excited for a great year!

Help us raise money for the Celebration of Excellence as we host Teacher, Support Personnel and Rookie Teacher of the Year!  Our goal is $10,000!
