Top 3 Cool Things Happening at the Library Right Now:
1. Self-check stations.
2. Library's new mobile app.
3. No more date cards.
We have a new materials tagging system. Everything is now tagged with radio frequency identification (RFID) microchips, so you can check out your own materials at one of our self-check stations!
Keep track of your due dates with our new mobile app available at your app store or at app.gclibrary.com. With the library's app, you can keep up with your checkouts, renew items, search the catalog, place holds, explore our databases, download ebooks, and so much more.
Best part - the app saves your library barcode so you don't have to keep up with your physical card anymore. Just present your mobile device at the circulation desk or our self-check stations to borrow materials. Instead of getting a due date card in each item, we'll print or email you a receipt.
Coming soon: online fee payments. Stay tuned for more announcements.
The Garland County Library enriches our community by creating and providing essential, meaningful connections -- to traditional library materials, to digital resources, and to each other through cultural, educational, and recreational opportunities.
